Agreement

By using YourTime, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

YourTime is intended for users who can lawfully use online services in their location and is not directed to children under 13.

The service

YourTime helps users spend time on YouTube more intentionally. The product can analyze YouTube videos, classify them as allow, warn, block, or background music, apply Focus Controls to YouTube surfaces, generate video summaries, log watch sessions, collect feedback, and show productivity statistics.

We may add, change, pause, or remove features over time. Some features may depend on third-party services, browser permissions, YouTube page structure, account status, or API availability.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and extension session secure. You agree to provide accurate account information and to notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may need to sign in to sync settings, store watch history, use the dashboard, generate summaries, or use account-linked extension features.

Chrome extension

The YourTime Chrome extension runs on YouTube pages to provide the core user-facing feature: helping you decide whether to watch, avoid, summarize, or listen in background mode. To do that, it needs permissions for YouTube pages, Chrome storage, authentication, and communication with yourtime.dev.

You control whether the extension is installed, enabled, signed in, and how Focus Controls are configured. YouTube may change its site structure, which can affect how reliably the extension blocks, hides, detects, or tracks content.

AI verdicts and summaries

AI outputs can be wrong, incomplete, delayed, or inconsistent. YourTime is designed as a productivity aid, not as professional advice or a guarantee that a video is good, bad, safe, accurate, or suitable for your purpose.

You are responsible for deciding whether to follow a verdict, override a block, rely on a summary, or use follow-up chat answers. Do not use YourTime as your only source for important decisions.

Subscriptions and paid features

If paid plans are offered, the price, billing period, renewal terms, included features, cancellation rules, and any trial details will be shown at purchase or in the payment flow. Taxes may apply.

Paid features may depend on third-party payment processors and platform rules. Unless a different refund rule is stated at purchase or required by law, fees are non-refundable once a paid period begins.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use YourTime to violate law, platform rules, or third-party rights.
  • Do not attempt to bypass security, rate limits, authentication, or access controls.
  • Do not reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with the service.
  • Do not upload or submit harmful, illegal, abusive, or misleading content.
  • Do not share your account with others if it causes misuse or violates plan limits.

Third-party services

YourTime interacts with third-party services such as YouTube, Google, Chrome, Supabase, hosting providers, AI providers, and payment providers. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies.

We do not control YouTube content, YouTube recommendations, Google account systems, Chrome Web Store rules, or third-party AI model behavior.

Changes and termination

We may update these Terms as the product changes. If a change is material, we will update this page and, when appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

We may suspend or terminate access if necessary to protect users, the service, legal obligations, or third-party platforms, or if these Terms are violated.

Disclaimers and limits

YourTime is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not promise uninterrupted service, perfect classifications, complete summaries, or compatibility with every YouTube page state, browser setup, or future platform change.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, YourTime and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost productivity, or service interruption.
